Lunchtime Conversations with 5th Graders

This happened to me at lunch with 5th graders.
S1: 先生！何才ですか？！
me: 24
S1:　じゃー彼氏いますか？！
me: まだいない
S2: じゃ早く作ってください！

 Why is it even my kids say this?!
