Shinhwa Double Time!!!

I'm not going to write a full concert report, mostly because I went to two different shows.

But I want to record that it was by far, the best concert I have seen ever.  Saturday was fun, but Sunday was better.  The audience had much higher energy on Sunday and Shinhwa noticed it.  Dongwan mentioned it to us- he spoke a lot of Japanese!  Out of everyone, Dongwan spoke the most Japanese.

Minwoo kinda did... he told us multiple times みんなさん、愛してる!And of course after we all screamed.  The second to last time, he came out before the encore by himself and said みんなさん・・・ but, we didn't let him.  We were all chanting his name and he didn't know what to do.  He listened to us a moment, and then he got on his hands and knees and bowed to us.  When he got up, he said みんなさん、愛してるよ!

And! On Sunday, I was much closer than I was on Saturday.  Saturday, I was on the third tier.. Sunday I was on the second tier.  ...Sunday, I could see the sweat glistening on Jun Jin's chest.  Jinnie was sweating so bad, it was ridiculous.  The rest of the guys were fine, but he was soaked.

I decided that I need to, no matter what the cost, see them every time I can.  I joined their Japanese fan club after the show on Sunday so that I will be in the know from now on.

Sadly, I don't know the setlist they played.  I knew almost all the songs, except one in the encore.  I think it was "Yo!" but I am not too sure, I have to look and see if I can find it on YouTube.

I was super impressed with them though.  Most of the time, Asian (Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese) bands lip sync.  Shinhwa didn't lip sync AT ALL. NOT ONE TIME.  If they messed up because they were goofing around, you knew it, because they missed a line.

I'm probably the happiest person ever right now.  I spent way, WAY too much money on their shows, and their merch, and I don't regret it one bit.

Usually, after lives, I get biased and float to obsessing over one member.  I haven't been able to decide who is my favorite in Shinhwa for a really long time now, and I still can't.  I love them all so much, they're all so amazing.  I was talking to Tran about it, and I don't know if I can decide.  Even if it was like, I had to choose one or I would die... I don't know who I would choose.  I can't... I just can't decide.  Which is okay.  I love them all.  It's okay.

And I got to see my beloved hip thrusts twice during Brand New <3 And Minwoo during This Love, hooooo my god.  So sexy.

And of course, they are much hotter in person.  AND.  Shinhwa, all on my team! I saw them in person and I claim them for my team.

やっぱり神話最高!! また、韓国語を勉強始まろう!神話のことなら何でもできる!頑張ろう!!

P.S. I can't believe I forgot to include this! Saturday Dongwan taught us to do the dance to "Stay," and Sunday Minwoo did. So fun!!!!

P.P.S. I'm trying to remember the set list by listening to their music ...lol.  While I can't remember the order, I know that they did the following:
Brand New
Venus
This Love
Hurts
Stay
Perfect Man
Run
Shooting Star
How Do I Say
Once in a Lifetime
Hey! Come On
웃다가...
Yo!
TOP
사랑 노래 (The performance for this was adorable and ridiculous, I can't wait for the DVD so I can relive that)

Taiwan for New Years and Resolutions

I went to Taiwan with T and G for New Years.  The trip was an 8 day one.

There were some things that shocked me in Taiwan though.  You don't flush paper down the toilets there. I don't know why.

I also got bitten by like, forty something mosquitoes while I was there.

There were a lot of people that spoke English there, which I thought was interesting.  I feel like it was much more common there than it is here, but that could be because I speak Japanese... and I always initiate the conversation- in Japanese- so the clerks at the stores and such don't think that they need to speak in English.  Not sure about that.

We went to the Taipei Zoo and I finally got to see a stinking panda.  It was so cute.  There were also koalas there, which were super cute too.

For New Years Eve, we went to Taipei 101 which was really neat.  They had a huge fireworks show from the building, and there were tons of people there too.

The trip was fun at some times but horrible at others.  G gets a really bad attitude if he has to do something that he doesn't want to, or if something doesn't go the way he wants it to.  He is quite like a child, and I will never be traveling with him again- I will not subject myself to that again.  I will not be inviting him to go to Tokyo with me next month if I go like I am intending to.  Perhaps I will go by myself, and that is okay.

We ate way too much food, and I feel that I probably gained a lot of weight.

I told Momo this last night when we were talking on the phone and she said "Good, you have been looking too skinny in your pictures." I disagreed with this, but she insisted that she was right.  Well, that may be, but I will be starting a diet here very soon.  I probably will be cutting meat from my diet at home (I still have to eat it at school if I am served it, and that's fine.) But I would like to eat more healthy now.  I am in Japan after all- the food here is supposed to be super healthy and I feel like I am not taking advantage of it.

Another thing that I will be starting is regular walking.  Since I have Fujitsu on Tuesday and Fridays, I will not be able to do this on those days but every other day of the week, I will be going on walks after school.  I wish that the wind would die down though- it's still horrible and has been for weeks.

Another goal I am setting for myself is to read 30 books this year.  I almost met that goal last year.

Finally, I would like to make more (better) friends here.  I have met some really cool Japanese people and I want to make an effort to see them more.  This means that I am going to be hanging out with L more, which is fine.  She's crazy, but she's really nice.  She's one of the few white people that doesn't drive me nuts when they speak Japanese.  Hanging out with them will probably help my Japanese speaking too which would be good.
